I'm looking for a pair of good used tail light lens for a 75 Scout II. My current set is quite faded.

the best "deal" I have found on these is from Outback Parts in Washington.  I think they wanted $48 for the pair

Faded? I got pulled over for that by Highway patrol. There are cheaper options than replacement. Red LED's, or do what I did, fogged the inside of lenses with Testors model paint

I'll have to try that suggestion.  Thanks Jerry.

I have a friend that swears by sanding them down with a very fine grit, working your way down more fine to 1000 or 1200 grit if I remember right.  I haven't actually tried it yet because my lenses have already been painted red, but he has done it several times on multiple vehicles.  Says it helps get a lot more from the headlights too

Don't the Scout II's use the same lenses as the pick-ups? If so, there are some down in that JY in Coolidge. I will take a look see next time I am down there.

I think 71-77 Scout IIs use a different lens than 78-80 Scout IIs.  I will try the paint option.  My lens aren't cracked, just faded.
