Hi my name is James Friedl. I am 32 years old, I have a beautiful wife named Nicole, and 3 great kids, Dylan, Ethan, and Genevieve. I am a transplant from the midwest (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) I have been into Internationals since I was about 15 when my neighbors son got a rusted out 1964 80.

I had searched for a good project back there but came to the conculsion that the money and time it would cost for me to have a nice one would not happen. So when I moved back to Arizona in 2008 I found a really clean 1969 800 that I traded for a quad I had.

I put alot of work into that Scout and coming back from the Rendevous in 2009 I blew the trans up in it and it sat for months. My daughter was on her way!

With a new baby in the house I decided I would sell it and start over when I could get more time. Scout 800I know I am a dummy! Then the bug bit again! I had a old Harley I was looking to get rid of and Jared Hancock (By the way thanks for everything) wanted a Harley and had a 1978 Scout II midas he would trade me for. So being the nice guy he is, He trailered the Scout all the way from Safford to Peoria, which was about 3 hours I believe. Needless to say I have been wrenching on it for about 3 months now and getting reliable for the road and off road. It now has 4 inches of lift with 5/8th U bolts and new bushings. Tie rods and New Tom Woods offset U joints waiting to be installed. Scout II after lift

I have met alot of people in my life and never have met any nicer people then the people who belong to this club. I always seem to collect alot of parts because I can never pass up a good deal. Plus I love wrenching on pretty much anything(I was ASE certified mechanic for ford and GM back in the day. Now I am a Electro mechanical Technition for Coca Cola, which means I work on there bottling and canning equipment. Mostly now I do logics programming and electrical trouble shooting. I think I have rambled on long enough!
