Mechanical Fuel Pump Install Hint

Ease your knuckles and head aches during a mechanical fuel pump install in a IH V8.

Not many of you will need to use this very often but I have had a bad batch of pumps recently coming from my local parts store, so I needed it.

Install a stud in the rear mounting hole as a guide for the fuel pump, this will aid you in installing the pump when the cam is fighting against you to get that first bolt started. After the front bolt is snugged in place you can place a nut on the newly installed rear stud and finish the project. This will also hold the gasket in place while you are placing the pump in. Turns a head ache job into a 10 min. swap.

Happy knuckle busting!
