General Information
AZAZIHR is a premier national gathering of International Harvester owners and their vehicles. The three-day event features an IH vehicle show, swap meet, vehicle games, a group dinner and trail runs. All makes and models of IH vehicles are welcome!
Join us this year for a weekend in the beautiful pine forests of Houston Mesa Campground, just 1 mile outside Payson, Arizona.
With beautiful weather, plentiful shady off-road trails to challenge everything from stock to extreme vehicles, and plentiful camp and RV spots, AZIHR will be a top destination for IH enthusiasts from all over the country.

Houston Mesa Campground
Houston Mesa Campground is located in the forested northern section of Tonto National Forest, just one mile north of Payson, Arizona and less than two hours from Phoenix.
The campground is located at an elevation of 5,200 ft. in a mixed forest and shrub area, with spacious campsites offering both sun and shade. Springtime is pleasant with highs in the 70s and cool nighttime temperatures, Hawks, eagles, javelina, deer, fox, skunk and coyote live in the area.
Sonora Desert Scouts has reserved both Fox 1 and Fox 2 group campsites for the weekend.
On-Site Camping/RV
On-site camping and RV is available for a fee of $20 per night per family.
Camp fee can be paid to Sonora Desert Scouts on-site at the event or online.
No pre-registration is required for a campsite. First come, first served.

Campfire Rings, Drinking Water, Dump Station,, Firewood, Flush Toilets, Grills, Hiking, Pets Allowed, Picnic Tables, Showers
No RV hookups are available on-site.

Hotel Accommodations are available in Payson, AZ, one mile from the campsite.
Area Activities
Campers who make the quick trip to the town of Payson, one mile south, will find restaurants, shopping and other conveniences. Scenic driving and outdoor recreation abound in the surrounding Tonto National Forest, which embraces almost 3 million acres of rugged and spectacularly beautiful country, ranging from saguaro cactus-studded desert to pine-forested mountains beneath the Mogollon Rim.

From Flagstaff, take Lake Mary Road south to Highway 87. Take 87/260 South into Payson. At the junction of Highway 87 (Beeline Highway) and Forest Road 199 (Houston Mesa Road), turn left (east) onto Forest Road 199 for .10 miles. Take a right to head toward the Fox 1 and Fox 2 group campgrounds on the south side of Houston Mesa Road.
The South
From Phoenix, take highway 87 North to Payson. From Payson, Arizona, go north for 1 mile to the junction of Highway 87 (Beeline Highway) and Forest Road 199 (Houston Mesa Road). Turn right (east) onto Forest Road 199 for .10 miles. Take a right to head toward the Fox 1 and Fox 2 group campgrounds on the south side of Houston Mesa Road.
The West
From Camp Verde, take AZ-260 West then AZ-87 South to Payson. At the junction of Highway 87 (Beeline Highway) and Forest Road 199 (Houston Mesa Road), turn left (east) onto Forest Road 199 for .10 miles. Take a right to head toward the Fox 1 and Fox 2 group campgrounds on the south side of Houston Mesa Road.
The East
From Show Low, take AZ-260 West to Payson, and take a right on Highway 87. Go north for 1 mile to the junction of Highway 87 (Beeline Highway) and Forest Road 199 (Houston Mesa Road).
