Fort Tuthill Rules and Regulations
As guests of Sonora Desert Scouts at the 2017 Arizona International Harvester Rendezvous, your party is required to abide by the Fort Tuthill Rules and Regulations. Violations may results in disqualification from Rendezvous activities, and you may be asked to leave the premises at the discretion of the SDS board and/or Fort Tuthill management.

Your signature upon check-in indicates you have read, understood, and agree to comply with all the above policies and regulations. Our staff makes regular rounds to ensure compliance. We hope that you enjoy your stay and thank you for your cooperation.
General Rules
- Smoking is not permitted in any building at Fort Tuthill. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly
- Pets are not allowed inside any building. Except for A06, C80, and Yurts. Pets must be on a leash at all times and cannot be kept in vehicles.
- Wood fires are NOT allowed anywhere, including charcoal grills. The ONLY exception is the fire pit behind the lodge and in the campground. FIRES MUST BE EXTINGUISHED BEFORE LEFT UNATTENDED.
- Quiet hours are from 10:00PM to 7:00AM daily
- Parking allowed in designated lots only.
- Weapons/firearms must be locked in vehicle at all times at Fort Tuthill
- Early departures incur a penalty fee equal to one night’s stay, unless the front desk is given 48 hours notice.
- Meaning, for example, if you check in and have a reservation for 4 nights and decide to leave on the second night, you will be charged the early checkout fee of one night
- Check-out time is 11:00AM. All units must checkout at the front desk upon departure
- Military sponsors are responsible for the actions of their guests.
- If you have forgotten any toiletries (shampoo, toothbrush, etc.), ask the front desk for items.
RV/Campground
- Maximum number of people allowed on one site is 6.
- Washing of vehicles is not permitted
- Hanging of clotheslines is not allowed; there are dryers in the laundry room.
- All sites accommodate a combination of 3 units only. This means an RV and 2 vehicles, etc. Excess vehicles are to be parked in a designated lot.
- Do not tap into the other sites’ hookups
- Sites may not be left unattended for more than 48 hours
- Campground Pet Rules
- Pets must be attended at all times
- Pets must not cause a disturbance to other guests.
- You are responsible for pet waste
- Pets are not allowed in any building at Fort Tuthill
- A maximum of 3 pets per camp spot
- Pets must be on a leash or restrained at all times
Cabins, A-Frames and Yurts
- Daily housekeeping is provided. If you do not want service, please hang your DO NOT DISTURB sign.
- We will at least provide fresh towels (except for Yurts) and take out the trash if needed
- We will make the beds that are cleared of personal items.
- Guests are responsible for daily sweeping, dishes, and general cleaning
- We ask that you do 2 things before leaving:
- Empty your trash
- Wash your dishes
Emergency Evacuation Procedures
- In the event of an emergency, a siren alarm will sound. If you hear a siren, proceed to the rendezvous point at the flagpole in the main parking lot. If the path to the flagpole is blocked, the alternate point will be the playground located northwest of the lodge. Upon arrival at the rendezvous point, you will be asked to identify yourself and each member of your party, as well as the unit or site you are staying in. Once your entire party is accounted for, you will be given directions for evacuation. Do not return to your unit for any reason after directed to evacuate.
- You may be asked to assist with notification and evacuation of other guests.
